These are the entry guidelines and rules for our Art Competition for National Drawing Day 2024.

How to enter

By email

Email your entry to claremuseum@clarecoco.ie with “National Drawing Day” and the category you wish to enter, e.g. 12-18 years, in the subject line and your name and your contact details in the body of the email.

Hand delivery

Drop your entry in to our reception desk during opening hours. You can view our opening hours at claremuseum.ie/visit.

Postal and hand-delivered entries must reach us on or before closing date/time.

Closing date

Closing date for entries is 12pm on Wednesday 15th May 2024.

Rules

  • One entry only per person.
  • All entries must be hand-drawn.
  • Please do not put your name or contact details on the drawing, as entries will be judged anonymously. Drawings containing entrant’s personal details will be disqualified.
  • Judges’ decision is final. No canvassing.
  • Family members of Clare Museum staff, or of the judges, are not eligible to win.
  • Entrants are responsible for any costs incurred by entering, e.g. postage, drawing materials, etc.
  • By entering the competition, you agree to give Clare Museum permission to publicise your name and entry on their social media pages and/or in local press. Parent/Guardian permission required for entrants under 18.
  • Clare Museum reserves the right to request proof of age.

  • Under 12 years
  • 12-18 years
  • Over 18 years

Prizes

1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for each of the three categories:

  • 1st Prize: €50 voucher for The Art & Craft Co., Merchant’s Square, Ennis Co. Clare
  • 2nd Prize: €25 voucher for The Art & Craft Co., Merchant’s Square, Ennis Co. Clare
  • 3rd Prize: €25 voucher for The Art & Craft Co., Merchant’s Square, Ennis Co. Clare

Winners will be announced, and their winning entries shared, on our social media pages on National Drawing Day, Saturday 18th May 2024.

We will also share a selection of highly commended entries throughout the day, using the hashtag #NationalDrawingDay.
