Benediction backdrip, Limerick lace, featuring motifs of leaves, bunches of grapes and ears of corn; also motifs of a chalice and the Blessed Sacrament.
This hand stitched Limerick lace Benediction backdrop was donated by Sr M Josepha O’Shea from her family collection, via her third cousin, Breda Sheedy. Sr O’Shea was one of three sisters to join the Sisters of Mercy and at 94 is the last one alive. She is based in Limerick.
