Box made of horn with inscription

Small box mainly constructed of horn but with metal additions and a cork plug attached to base of lid. The cork plug appears to be ivory covered. Inscribed is the name and date of death of Robert Keane, formerly of Beechpark House, Ennis. C.H.K., the initials on the lid possibly refer to his daughter Charolotte Keane. Box contains lock of hair of the deceased Robert Keane. The inscription in a silver band on the front reads ‘Robert Keane, Ob 19 Dec 1873.
