A bronze medal, with a green, white and orange ribbon. Medal is has ‘Oghlaigh na h-Eireann’ on the obverse and 1916-2016 on the reverse. Presentation box Includes a green white and orange pin which can be attached to the uniform without a medal. Set into a green velvet-type case. On the outside of the case in gold lettering is ‘An Bonn Comórtha Céad blinian 1916’. The case, or box, is enclosed in a white cardboard sleeve.

Minted and presented to every serving member of the Irish Defence Forces at a special State Ceremony in Dublin on 4th December, 2016, by President Michael D. Higgins to celebrate the Centenary year of the Easter Rising.
