Delivery Note, from The Great Southern Railways Co., to the Secretary, Foresters Club, Ennis, 6 Jan 1931. Rectangular note on thin paper, originally white, now discoloured beige. Black print and manuscript. To centre “DELIVERY NOTE” with small print to the left readings “(61)./1,000,000 – A 11-9/30-A.T. & Co. Ltd.*” To the right is a printed line terminating at the word “Station”. Beneath this is space for the recipient’s name?, a blank line beginning after letter “M” and beneath this blank lines for “Address” and for “day of”, month, and year “19”. Over station and date is a circular stamp reading “G.S.R./6 JAN 31/ENNIS”. Beneath this is printed “Dr. To The Great Southern Railways Company./For Conveyance of Goods as under:-“. Beneath this is a printed table with headed columns as follows: Reference No.; Station from; Sender; No. of Articles; Description of Goods and Marks; Weight; Rate; Paid on; Total. Details of this delivery note are: Reference No – 77; Station from – ?; Sender – J. Power (?); Note. of Articles – 1. Description of Goods and Marks – ? 16; Weight – 1 cwt, 27 lbs; Total – 5 shillings, 10 d. + 9 d. Grand total 6 shillings, 7 d. Printed beneath table is the following: “N.B. – The Directors require the Carriage to be paid on Delivery, unless the Consignee has an authorised Account with the Company./Complaints of overcharge or other irregularity should be addressed to the Goods Manager, Kingsbridge Station, Dublin.”
