Signalling equipment, consisting of a box with a battery and a hand held light which is connected to it.

This Signalling Equipment was used by the IRA during the Irish War of Independence and was was sent to Clare from HQ in Dublin at the instruction of Michael Collins. Signalling was by Morse code.
