Letter R, ceramic, marbled effect, Tuscan style lettering
Letter R, ceramic, Tuscan style lettering, came from Armstrong’s draper shop in Ennistymon. Glazed ceramic letter R with pale grey on white, marbled effect, the reverse is plain white with a sunken interior, raised around the edges. There are four perforations for attachment to backing, two contained within raised loops at the top (the top of the loop of the straight side of the letter is broken), and two at simple perforations contained within the letter on each leg just before the end extension. Green paint followed by red paint accidentally applied during repainting of backing occurs around the edges, there are also two splashes of white paint and one splash of yellow.
