Medal, religious, silver coloured, Regina Advocata Et Mater, suspenions loop, jump ring and ribbon. Obverse: Engraving in relief of Our Lady with cloak and halo, one hand on chest, other raised palm out, legend around edge – Regina Advocata Et Mater. In smaller letters name – Bianchi – and in the bottom centre – R 556439. Obverse: Image of Eucharist with letters IHS and cross engraved in its centre, rays of the sun (16) extend from behind it. Legend around edge – Sodalitas Mariana Primae Primariae Romanae Aggregata. Ribbon: Pale blue ribbon, stitched into a ‘V’ shape at the bottom and sewn onto jump ring attached to suspension loop. Small safety pin stitched onto back of ribbon at top.
The medal was worn by members of the Regina Advocata Et Mater Sodality. The pale blue ribbon possibly suggests that this particular medal belonged to a female as male members of confraternitys and sodalities wore red ribbons. Bianchi – the name on the obverse at the base, probably the artist/engraver, other religious medals carry this name
