Metal hammer with brass coloured head and metal handle
Metal hammer, head is off a brass coloured metal, cylindrical in shape, with numerous indentations from use. Handle is cylindrical in shape and of a dark grey metal and tapers gently from base to where it joins the head. Two thick incised bands occur about 1 third of the way up the handle from the base. In the section beneath the two incised bands are three deep straight notches c. 8 mm in length, two are parallel occuring at 2 mm and 2.8 cm from the base, a third occurs just under the lowest of the two incised bands and is on the opposite side of the handle. Just above the two parallel notches the letters “C.H.” stand out as bright silver-coloured letters.
