Found in former Foresters Club premises, O’Connell St, Ennis. Major Willie Redmond was the Member of Parliament for East Clare (Irish Party) when he was killed in action on the western front in June 1917. His death resulted in a a by-election and his seat was won by Eamon de Valera for Sinn Féin.
