Donated by Bernadette Cocking (nee Keane), daughter of Frank Keane, also known as Francis Keane, or Frank ‘Dowro’ Keane. ‘Dowro’ Keane was a member of the IRA in during the Irish War of Independence and died of TB in 1948.
This photograph was in the donor’s brother’s home and she had it copied. The family originally lived on the Kilrush Road, Ennis.
