Sabre belonging to Capt/Col. Stoddart from Kilkishen Militia.
The sabre was probably part of a dress uniform of the Kilkishen Cavalry as the blade is inscribed with decorative etchings; the metal is blue; curved.
Donated by Nora Liddy, Wexford, she remembered her mother bought this sward at auction in Knock village, County Clare in the late 1970s. She inherited it from her mother and subsequently donated it to Clare Museum.
