Square, white linen, with blue floral motifs in the corners outside an irregularly shaped blue border. All thread used is blue in colour.
Biddy Quin of Highfield, Ennis, gave this table cloth to Maureen Murphy before she died about twenty years ago. This guild of the ICA was founded by Jane Vere O’Brien, daughter of Florence Vere O’Brien in 1912. Florence was the founder of the Clare Embroidery school at Newhall in 1895.
Both Biddy and Maureen were members of the Gort Lomán ICA in Barefield together. It was donated by Maureen Murphy on behalf of Gort Lomán ICA.
