Metal stamper with wooden handle used for recording dates of items received, the flat end was used to make the impression, above this are two open areas where the month and year could be adjusted.

Stamper used to record dates around 1915 – 1917, of items received by Clerk of Council of Scariff District Council, J. Holohan. The donor is a grandson of John Holohan who was elected to the Board of Guardians of Scariff Union in 1903, and served in that role and as secretary to Scariff Hospital until 1921.

Function: used for recording month and year that items were received by Scariff District Council.
