Tobacco cutter, metal, wide blade, short wooden handle.
Metal implement with wide blade, short shaft and wooden handle, blade in shape of semi-circular sphere, blade is angled fairly sharply either side of the handle. Metal is rusted all over the blade while the shaft that extends into the wooden handle is badly corroded and flaking. The handle is split where the shaft enters it.
The object was used by the donor’s mother and donor claimed object was about 100 years old at time of donation in 2005. It was used for cutting tobacco for sale in shops.
